Description
This as pony mecha design that I have submitted for the story Gear in the Machine by SFaccountant. SFaccountant really like the design that I offered and accepted that I do the design for all the other Strider models that will be in the story, with each model being specifically design for each pony tribe and each wildly different in design. The story is a MLP crossover with WarHammer 40k with the ponies somehow show finding themselves in alliance with the the traitorous Chaos Space Marines, go read it, it's as funny as hell. I actually finished the drawing them over two weeks and only took me about three days to do, and I love every moment of it.
The design of the Strider MK-3, which unlike the other models striders was just a spontaniouse work that I start while designing my own take of creating a MLP mecha that would be as utiletarian as possible and highteck looking and as ineqine as possble to give it as scary look without just ading props to that would be trying too hard to look bad ass. It was coming out so splendidly that I decided to as internal fire effect, in the exposed segments of the armor and spectacularly snowballed when I added a fire aura effect around the the spine mane and horn as well as its breath. It made him look so cool. after that I wanted to add the nervous pony pilot that is about to enter the damneble thing, but rather make it look like the manipulatores threating him rather then instaling him and to seal the deal the infurnal hatch doesn't inpirer any confedence. Pour guy he must feel that he doesn't know what he getting into, which is probably is the case.
