Strider MK-1

This as pony mecha design that I have submitted for the story Gear in the Machine by SFaccountant. SFaccountant really like the design that I offered and accepted that I do the design for all the other Strider models that will be in the story, with each model being specifically design for each pony tribe and each wildly different in design. The story is a MLP crossover with WarHammer 40k with the ponies somehow show finding themselves in alliance with the the traitorous Chaos Space Marines, go read it, it's as funny as hell. I actually finished the drawing them over two month ago, but lost had trouble doing the weapons mount and background Shaos Space Marines and only finished it about two weeks ago.

The design of the Strider MK-1 is solidly based off the Imperium of Man's Sentinel waker so, so simplicity and practicality was in order, and that is why it lock more like a rust bucket tank with Sentinel legs on it that only share the most superficial resemblance to a pony.

I love working on this piece, it was a lot of fun to imagine how a pony mecha could look like, as I have always been a suck for mecha for a very long time, and I was wanting to draw a mecha pony for a while, and this was the perfect way to go about it.
